Is this community dead...? I hope not.

I have a very clearly defined problem which I hope to solve with some magic - namely a friend very far away needs a bit of energy and support. Due to physical distance and accompanying timezone troubles, I am unable to be at his side, even online. He's facing minor surgery and I'd like to send him a bit of reassurance, to ease his mind and assist in his healing - and I hope I'm not being too farfetched here.

Healing is Sahmet's job, so I'm quite certain I have to ask for her help but I'm not sure about the rest and the actual 'messaging' process. I know of a spell which uses a mirror to create a short-lived image of ourselves to contact somebody through dreams - do you think it'll be appropriate here, too? Could anybody help me designing the ritual?

Thanks.

hayolrd before i knew the thing wasnt human it talked about amish being holy which was pretty strange. then i looked at the amish and mennonite hex signs/ dutch signs and they have animals on them like the ones that make it powerless.

hayolrd these things don't like garlic, cats, skunks, eagles they will stay and can touch the things and wear them but they cant use mudras against you i assume they can't touch silver you will see them with steel but not silver but silver doesn't stop their mudras the animals do then they do pressure points . they have nasty attitudes and they will try to cover it up by being nice to do by doing stuff for you and compliments they dont usually care about people and they don't like politics to the extreme more than your average person. saying words like china twice with me scares them. they do not like it when i say emperor or emperor god or god emperor. one of them didn't like it when i said o man. i remeber that one of my pennyroyal plants got drown by one of them and it thought i wasn't looking or either it was using mindcontrol which didn't work because i was taking an herbal supplement or either it thinks that i am stupid since they call me stupid while i thank it just mispronuncing my name. also i think it dosent use the sink after i created incense water without knowing that the stuff repels it because it knows and it did something to the water heater so i now have to boil the water and it wants me to take cold showers.makes me real mad that everybody thinks that all nice people are stupid and or weak when it is the majority of nice people and it could be half. that what the thing thinks. in the religion or sect that it penetrated there was no jewelry and some one complained by the food being spicy or not to spice it when they where serving at the place of worship that grandmother on my mom side joined at35 or 40. when i ask the thing before i knew it was it he/she said that family been like in that sect since great-grandmother which is a lie because sect is young and other members said that not true and that some members where atheists before great grandfather.there was the chinese delivery guy that freaked out after i moved into new house and there some things i cant remeber then she/he doesn't want to try the delievery service again .they can touch gold and jewelry.

11:42 pm - New here!

earthguardian
Hello!

i just joined, and I'm excited to find something like this! :D

For awhile I felt a pull towards Egyptian Mythology, and was approached by a Goddess who I'm trying to form a relationship with but really don't know how. I was researching Kemetic Reconstructionism, but didn't like the idea of basically worshipping in the same way the Ancient Egyptians did, nor was I entirely interested in the rigid manner of contemporary Wicca. So when I discovered a nice blend of the two, I was really excited!

Basically I'm just looking for any advice on how to get started. I'm interested more in the religious aspect of Paganism, so I don't really want to cast circles or create spells. I want to get closer to Selket, the Goddess who approached me, but feel really impatient, and confused over the whole ordeal. I don't know if I'm doing it "right" or how I will know if Selket will ever approach me in a vision or anything like that.

Any books would also be of great help to me!

Thank you.

comments are most appreciated. They're like frankincense for the gods. And every god or goddess likes frankincense.

9:47 pm - Newbie here

weesieweasel

Well, where do I begin? I've been fascinated by Egypt since I was a child. I used to fantisise about going to Egypt on an archaeological dig and finding some nomadic tribe that followed the old gods.

In my teens I got into wicca. To be honest I was more into what I guess you'd call the occult side than the religious side. I love Magick and all things connected to it. I just got a bit miffed at following the god and goddess when I didn't really connect with the lore behind the faith.

I'm currently signed up for the Kemetic Orthodox beginners class to expand my horizons. I love learning new things and meeting new people on the forum but still not sure whether I agree with them 100%. I still cling to my polytheistic beliefs. I also keep swaying back to wicca. My current interest is in dragon magick.

To sum it up I'm 70% Kemetic 30% Wicca.....100% me! Please to meet you all

Is there anyone in the northern NJ area here?

I have recently been called to deepen my bonds with Isis (there's a story there, which I'll share if interested) and I would love to have someone to talk to and learn with (either someone already on a similar path or someone starting out to study/grow with). Right now, I'm depending on books alone and I'd love some interaction with others of a like mind!

I'm interested in finding a legitimate spellcaster, and I was wondering what people thought about Aisha Haadi. There's a lot of negative comments about her on other sites, yet she apparently exposes other "frauds" and claims she's real. Has anyone ever used her? Any good/bad results? Also, does anyone know of any spellcasters that are trustworthy and effective?
Thanks!

I only just recently was finally able to set up my altar. It's been slow going, like every good altar, in collecting all the things I desire/feel would be good for it. I was perusing a few Internet sites for statuettes for my altar and have come across only rather expensive models. I like them, but I'm kind of strapped so I can't spend $100 per statue. Any suggestions for good Kemetic/Egyptian statues either in website form, brochure form or local (Massachusetts) shops...? (For informational purposes: my goddesses are Sekhmet and Ma'at.)

X-posted.

7:30 pm - Orthodoxy question

phoenixastraea
Hello to all!

I've come to an intellectual and spritual crossroads and would love to hear the opinions of those on this board.

I know this community is entitled "Egyptian Wicca" but are there those of you out there who practice Kemetic Orthodoxy?  I am torn between wanting to be as faithful as is possible to the ancient practices but also wishing to honor the traditional Wiccan holidays.

Thoughts? Advice?

Many thanks in advance.

jenniology

I hope no one takes offense at this. :) I'd just like to share a little project I've been working on. It's a day planner type calendar for 2007, with an interfaith theme (perfect for the ecclectic).

The calendar contains roughly 900+ feasts and holidays from nearly 30 different religions - these include Asatru, Kemetism, Gnosticism, Christianity, Buddhism, Hinduism, Baha'i, Rastafari, Sikhism, Voudun, Paganism, Wicca, Shintoism, Celticism, Thiodisk Gelôbo, Taoism, Religio Romana, Canaanite & Slavic Religion, Judaism, Hellenismos, Islam, Zoroastrianism, Santeria, WoT Paganism, and Middle Eastern Paganism. ^^ All of them are explained, and there are plenty of other goodies thrown in.

You can find buy the day planner calendars here. :) Enjoy!

Hi all! I've been looking for another Egyptian/Pagan community since the other ones seem too quiet. My patron Goddess is Isis, but other than that, I don't really know too much as far as Egyptian Wicca goes. Definitely interested in learning!

Also, I have recently made some icons of this really beautiful Egyptian Tarot deck I own (I don't use them for divination, but I thought they were really neat to make icons out of. I hope you like/get some use out of them - and if this isn't allowed, mods, I'm sorry and I can certainly delete it!

Bright blessings!

Hey everyone! This is my first post. I'm interested in Wicca, and lately I've been looking online at different sites that cast spells for you ( yes, i know most of them are not real) but one seemed more authentic then the rest, and i was wondering if anyone here has heard of it. Her name is Aisha, and she is an Egyptian witch. Her site seemed pretty legitimate, and i was wondering if anyone here has heard of her. Also, what do you guys think of those online spell casters in general? Are there any legitimate ones that you think work?

4:46 pm - Children of Kemet

jenniology
I'd very much like to invite those of you who are following an Egyptian path of faith to a forum called Children of Kemet. :) You can be Kemetic, a Pagan worshipping the old gods and goddesses of Egypt, a Tameran Wiccan - any and all following the path of Kemet in any shape or form is welcome to join. :) It doesn't matter if you belong to a group, House or temple - just come as you are. We leave our affiliations at the door and try to exchange knowledge and insights instead.

Em hotep and welcome. :)
